We have ready-to-share resources at your fingertips that are perfect at the start of the new year.
If your benefit year just started, now’s a good time to remind your employees how to set up their secure member account with Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska.
If they have a secure account set up, they can often get the information they need by going to their account instead of going to you for answers!
Help your employees set up a Premera member account
To find a flyer, email template, and copy-and-share messages about setting up a member account, go to our Employee Communication Resources website. You’ll find a link to the site once you log in to your secure employer account.
Once you’re on the website, select Manage your plan in the left-hand column, then look for Create an account on premera.com in the right-hand column.

- Flyer: Customize this with your company logo.
- Email template: Send this right away with your employee distribution list.

Under the category How-to guides for employers, you’ll find a 12-month planner. This helpful guide highlights how to get the most out of these ready-to-share communications. Page 5 of the document outlines a sample communication timeline for your plan year.

- High quality care at the lowest cost is just a flight away. Use materials AFTER your 2019 renewal date. Under the category, Get the most out of your benefits, select Choose the right care, and then Medical transportation.
