The Premera Wellness Program is included with all medical plans starting January 1, 2019 or later for small groups with 1 to 50 employees.
Your clients have a new way to help their employees find support. Lifestyle Guidance Resources is an employee assistance program offered as part of Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska health plans, at no additional cost to your clients.
In this program, masters- and PhD-level experts and online resources offer confidential help 24/7 for:
- Managing stress
- Family/spousal relationship issues
- Finding child and elder care
- Surviving grief and loss
- Energizing a career
- Dealing with illness or trauma
- Getting information about legal concerns
- Financial problems or planning
What you can do
We know how important wellness is to your small group clients. Remind them of this resource to encourage well-being in their workplace.
Lifestyle Guidance Resources also make a great selling point when working with prospective clients. Let your prospects know about the program when discussing Premera Wellness Program benefits.

- To provide your clients with material to share with their employees about Lifestyle Guidance Resources, check out the resources in the Employee Communications Center, an online library of ready-to-share material for employees. To find a link to the Employee Communications Center, log in to the secure producer website. Once you’re in the site, look for Manage your health category in the left menu, select Wellness.
