Small Group Renewal Proposal Packages to Include the Rating Census

    Starting with July 1, 2022 effective dates, small group renewal proposal packages will now include the rating census. This change is being implemented to ensure accurate renewal proposals for our mutual clients and will also provide efficiencies to the renewal process and improve the customer experience.

    If a onetime renewal re-rate is required, send the request to AKPBCSmallGrpSS@premera.com and the group’s dedicated Premera account team no later than the 20th of the month prior to the effective date.

    • Please include an updated rating census and verification.
    • Verification includes:
      • Either enrollment documents to add or drop a member if not yet processed.
      • Or employee name and effective date of the add or drop if the changes have already been submitted through the employer portal or directly to membership and billing.
    • Once the renewal is re-rated, Premera will consider updated rates final and will proceed with issuing a confirmation letter with the rates as of the effective date.
