Wellness Program: An Included Perk for Your Clients

    Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska has a long tradition of offering wellness programs that provide your clients with the tools to create a culture of health and well-being in their workplace.

    Our 2019 Wellness Program includes the following benefits.

    For employers

    Employers with a Premera medical plan get access to the Alaska Wellness Academy, which offers your clients access to a series of interactive workshops. These workshops provide employers with tips and tools that they can use to help their company and employees thrive. The academy also provides ready-to-share employee communications to help employers deliver wellness tips and information to their employees.

    For employees

    Through the Premera Wellness Program, your clients’ employees get access to an employee assistance program (EAP) that offers help with mental health, stress, grief and loss, illness or trauma, relationship conflicts, financial guidance, life adjustments, and more. Employees get:

    • Three confidential, face-to-face (as available) or video counseling sessions per issue, free of charge.
    • Unlimited access to lifestyle guidance resources. This includes online support and direct access to a guidance consultation by phone, online, or through a mobile app.
