If your doctor finds that you need preventive screenings based on your age or other risk factors, that's covered at no extra cost on most Premera health plans. Here are a few preventive tests your doctor may recommend, but keep in mind tests to diagnose
or monitor conditions are not preventive and would be subject to copay and deductible:
- Blood pressure screening
- Diabetes (type 2) screening
- Obesity screening and weight loss counseling
- Cholesterol testing at certain ages or for those at higher risk

Managing life-changing health conditions
Customers managing certain life-changing conditions can access Premera programs to help them manage their healthcare. These include diabetes, heart failure, coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease, and asthma. Eligible customers receive personal health coaching.
We also provide Personal Health Support to help customers with complex health conditions. This includes help coordinating care from multiple providers, transitioning to new
