January is the month for tax forms and preparation. If your employees have questions about what forms they will receive to show proof of healthcare coverage, use the guide below to help provide answers.
For fully insured groups
As a courtesy to fully insured groups, Premera will send members their Form 1095-B by the end of January 2019, as required. We deliver this form in one of two ways:
- Electronic delivery: Members who signed up for our 1095-B electronic delivery option will receive an email from Premera this month with details on how to access their form through their online member account.
- Delivery by U.S. Postal Service: Members who didn’t sign up for electronic delivery will receive hard copies of their form via mail.
Reminder for self-funded groups
If your plan is self-funded, it is your responsibility to send Form 1095-B to your plan members as required.
