For existing groups with the MOBE program
Premera Blue Cross continuously seeks to offer the highest level of care for our members at an affordable price for our employer groups. One of the ways we do this is by reviewing the clinical programs we offer and makes updates as appropriate. After careful consideration, Premera will be discontinuing our program with MOBE effective December 31, 2020.
While MOBE was an innovative approach to addressing the affordability and customer satisfaction of care, the program has had limited engagement that included MOBE guides – only 4,200 MOBE guided members over the past four years. Additionally, our analytics team has been unable to validate savings that will improve affordability of care for our members.
Impacted members will receive a letter and an email by the end of the month notifying them of the change and a plan for a smooth transition.
