October 20, 2022
Starting January 1, 2023 – as groups renew – most Premera health plans with OptiFlex funding will include our new Kinwell Connect product at no additional cost to employers (excludes Peak Care and BlueHPNSM plans). Self-funded plans can select this product with no additional administrative fee.
Premera members and their dependents now have access to a new standard of primary care at Kinwell clinics. Now, with Kinwell Connect included, they’ll get even more perks!
Kinwell Connect brings employees and their family members:
$0 copays for primary care services at Kinwell clinics. For members on a high-deductible health plan, primary care services at Kinwell clinics are $0 after they meet their deductible.
Members get an added benefit of Kinwell connect resource to help educate and provide scheduling support and coverage guidance.
Kinwell Connect drives positive health outcomes and removes financial barriers by guiding members to a high-performing model of care – estimated to deliver up to 7-10% savings on total cost of care1. When total cost of care goes down, employers with OptiFlex funding may benefit from an increase to their annual surplus and lower renewal rates year-over-year. Self-funded plans which opt-in will have the confidence of performance transparency and financial guarantee to reduce their overall financial risk for years to come.
