How Premera Pulse makes healthcare work better

Premera Pulse is a digital resource that engages members when they are most likely to use their health benefits, closer to the point of care. Employees (and their eligible dependents) enrolled in a Premera health plan who activate Premera Pulse will get proactive messages that empower them to make informed decisions about their care.

With their Premera Pulse account activated, members can:

    • Receive proactive messages about needed care based on their personal background and medical history. Messages, called Care Cues, will be delivered directly to members via text message and remind them of needed care. For example, messages are sent when it’s time for a colorectal cancer screening or to schedule their annual diabetes eye exam.
    • Readily access their medication lists. They can review their medication list any time—in preparation for an upcoming doctor’s appointment, while meeting with their doctor, or when picking up a prescription at their pharmacy.
    • Easily search for high quality, low-cost, in-network providers in their area. They can search by specialty, name, condition, or procedure. Provider information may include a photo of the provider, their location, contact information, and verified reviews from other Premera members.
    • Book appointments with providers directly through Premera Pulse. (Currently only available for select providers in King and Snohomish counties.)

We will never ask our members for payment to use Premera Pulse. Standard text messaging rates may apply.
