With the unprecedented nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, Premera Blue Cross has remained committed to making sure your clients continue to have greater access to care. Through the expansion of our telehealth network, Premera helped reduce wait times for employees to receive care from home at no additional cost.
To ensure your employees are continuing to receive greater access to care, Premera will be extending the cost share waiver for all in-network telehealth services along with the expanded telehealth network until December 31, 2020 to all fully insured, OptiFlex, individual, and Self-funded group clients.
Self-funded Clients:
Your self-funded clients can choose to allow your cost share waivers to continue through December 31 or choose an alternate end date of June 30 or September 30. If they choose to end their cost share waivers prior to December 31, 98point6 will be removed from the expanded network.
If your clients wish to end their telehealth cost share waivers on June 30, 2020 or September 30, 2020 we ask that you email a custom cost share end date request to the optout2020@premera.com by Monday, June 15. If we do not hear from you, you will default to the standard cost share waiver end date of December 31st.
