Our goal for the 2021 is to provide a seamless, consistent experience for you and your clients. Last month, we submitted our 2021 filing with the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC). Here’s what to expect from Premera individual and family plans, pending OIC approval:
Counties
We’ll be in the same 6 counties next year: Franklin, Grays Harbor, King, Kitsap, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum. (View the current county map from 2020 for a visual of the counties where our individual plans will be offered.)
Network
Premera individual members will continue to use the Individual Signature Network. This broader network includes UW Medicine, Swedish, Virginia Mason, and Providence. Plus, no referrals are needed to see a specialist.
Plans
Simplicity is key! All current Premera plans will renew in 2021, except the Preferred Gold 1000. (Members currently on this plan will be notified in September.)
Rates
We’ve filed an overall rate decrease of 8.99% for our 2021 metallic plans. This is subject to change and approval by the OIC.
Commission
You’ll continue to earn commission in 2021. You also now have the option to receive Automated Clearing House (ACH) deposits, so you can receive your payment more quickly.
