One in three Americans are insured by a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan. And yet, 75% leave for a plan offered by another carrier when it’s time for Medicare.
Here’s what is surprising: more than half of those who leave don’t know that Blue plans also offer Medicare solutions. With 10,000 Americans becoming eligible for Medicare each day, there is a big opportunity to close that knowledge gap.
National awareness campaign
For the first time, all 36 Blue plans have come together to launch a national Medicare awareness campaign. Beginning in July, you and your clients may see ads on national TV, in magazines, and in various social media and digital channels. The campaign positions Medicare as a healthcare decision, rather than a retirement decision. This reflects consumers’ actual lives.
Action you can take
When you speak with clients, use the ads as a launching point to discuss how they can maintain - or experience for the first time – a Premera Blue Cross Medicare plan.
