Premera Blue Cross has made changes so more of your members retiring or joining Medicare Supplement plans for the first time even after their IEP and ICEP have passed can get “guaranteed issue” without going through underwriting. Effective April 1, 2020, we’re allowing
those coming from individual and group plans with less than a 63-day break in coverage to qualify for guaranteed issue into one of our Medicare Supplement plans.
Review our new Medicare Supplement enrollment tool and be sure you’re letting eligible clients know that Premera Medicare Supplement plans are now an available
option.
Your action: Print the new Medicare Supplement enrollment tool and use it to help you determine eligibility. Please destroy your old copies.
