No. Your current reimbursement rate won’t change when you sign this new contract. When we update our current fee schedule reimbursement, we’ll provide a 90-day notification.

No. We’re only sending out contracts with the networks you already participate in.

To replace your old contract with the current OIC approved version, review, sign, and return the entire contract document and Dental Services survey within 15 days from the date of receipt. (Make sure all contract signature pages are signed.) Return the completed contract documents by email, fax, or mail:

The survey helps us gather information for specific services your practice may offer so we can enhance our online provider directory and help our members find the care they need. Review the survey, check the services you provide, and send it back with your contract so we can add this information to your online profile.

Once we receive and process your contract documents, you’ll receive a counter-signed copy for your records. This process may take up to 45 days to complete.

No. There’s no gap between the two contract documents. We’ll retire the old contract after we’ve processed the new version.

We recommend that you keep a signed copy of each with your contract files.

It may take us 10 business days to send you a new copy.

You don’t need to do anything. We’ll mail you new documents if your contract needs to be replaced.

Contracting is when Premera and a provider sign an agreement that obligates each party to specific responsibilities. A contract is created at the tax ID level and is applicable for all providers working under that tax ID. Dental contracts are standard and don't require renewal.

Credentialing is the process of verifying an individual provider's credentials. It's reviewed and updated every three years at the individual practitioner level.
