MultiCare and Premera Blue Cross are collaborating to introduce a new health plan product to Pierce County: Peak Care. Available beginning Jan. 1, 2019, Peak Care will provide access to the Tahoma provider network, made up of MultiCare Connected Care’s clinically integrated network as well as a wrap-around network of additional specialists. Beginning this fall, Pierce County-based employers can begin purchasing this plan for their employees.
The alliance is non-exclusive and intended to explore ways local health plans and health systems can work together to make the healthcare experience easier for patients, while lowering out-of-pocket costs. We look forward to exploring other innovative ideas to transform healthcare in our region with our current provider partners and other potential relationships.
