In the fourth quarter of 2022, Premera will move from Jiva to Symphony, a new online prior authorization and referral tool for Medicare Advantage plans. Symphony delivers a simpler, more intuitive workflow that will streamline authorizations and reduce
workloads for your teams. It will require fewer clicks and have more shortcuts.
New improved features
- Prior authorization check: As you enter procedure codes, the system will tell you if prior authorization is required or not.
- Duplicate check: When you submit a request, before it submits, the system will check if there is already a similar, existing prior authorization to help prevent duplicates.
