Starting September 1, all new online referrals and prior authorizations need to be submitted through Symphony. After September 1, you’ll still have access to the current tool Jiva, but it will be limited to ‘view only’ access to allow you to check status on historical requests.
Symphony will streamline your workflows by improving online prior authorization and referral submissions:
- No more checking codes from a separate list. Code checks are part of the submission process. When you enter a procedure code, the system tells you if a prior authorization is required or not.
- No duplicate entries. When you enter a request, Symphony tells you if there’s a similar request in the system before you submit to help prevent duplicates.
- No change to your sign-in process. You’ll access the tool through OneHealthPort, the same way you do today.
