live on Availity and we’re just about a month away from transitioning our
secure provider tools to Availity. Access
to our secure tools on premera.com will no longer be
available as of September 10, 2022. If you’re already signed up with Availity, you can use your existing user ID and password to work with Premera. If Availity is new to you, signing up is easy and there’s no cost to register.

To register, sign in to Availity, select Help & Training > Get Trained and then select Sessions in the Search Catalog field. To see all the trainings listed
for the current month, you can scroll the list. If you want to view sessions for a specific day, select that day on the calendar under Your Calendar. For recorded trainings, enter "PREMERA" in the Search Catalog field, and then select the course you
want.
Sign in to Availity for the following tools:

Eligibility and Benefits | Search by a member’s plan ID number and see all members associated with that member ID. You can also search by the member’s first name, last name, and date of birth. |
Claim Submission | Use Manage My Organization to quickly add provider information. Note: You don’t need to
use Availity as a clearinghouse to use this feature. |
Claim Status | View the status for a medical, dental, and/or facility claim. Search by claim number and/or all claims within a specific date range. Up to two years of claims and EOP data are available. |
Prior Authorizations | Complete and submit inpatient and outpatient authorizations and get real-time responses for your Premera members. Incomplete requests are automatically saved as drafts in your dashboard for 18 months. |
Remittance Viewer | EOPs are available from the Check/EFT tab. Select the EOP icon under the Actions menu to download a PDF. Note: Use “Other Blue Plans” as a payer to view FEP check information. |
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) | Use for EFT enrollment or cancellation. |
A few tools will remain on Premera’s secure provider website until they can be made available through Availity, including:
- Claims editor
- PCP roster
- Payment policies

The following plans are not served through Availity:
General: Individual Plans and Medicare Advantage
Availity Authorization & Referrals tool: The Availity Authorization & Referrals tool does not apply to Individual plans, Medicare Advantage, FEP, and Shared Admin. Prior authorization service requests that go through eviCore and AIM
today will continue as is.
