Behavioral Health Workshop Recap

On May 11, our provider experience team hosted a workshop focused on supporting behavioral health providers. Takeaways from the workshop include:

• Register, get information, or sign up for training on the Availity - Premera website.
• For help determining whether to bill Premera or another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, check out BlueCard® resources, a county map, and our Blue Card provider manual.
• All medical policies and payment polices are available on our website. Providers need to be signed in to view payment policies.
• The telehealth payment policy describes codes, modifiers and place of service coding and can be found here: Telehealth/Telemedicine Services (premera.com).
• In April, the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) created new modifiers to be appended to audio-only telehealth services for dates of service on and after January 1, 2022. Learn more.
