Use our online eligibility
and benefits tool to find out if a patient is covered by a fully insured or
self-funded plan. Why does that matter? Because of regulatory guidance from
federal and state insurance offices, self-funded plans may not have to comply
with all health plan regulations. This can cause confusion when a claim is
processed.
To find out whether a
patient is covered under a specific plan, sign in to the eligibility and
benefits tool, and select “Plan details” to see the patient’s plan type.
