Premera is sending an educational brochure to select Medicare Advantage members about the importance of completing retinal eye exams to screen for diabetic retinopathy, a potential complication of diabetes. The mailing encourages them to complete a retinal eye exam this calendar year. It also requests they fill out a card with information about their eye care provider and mail it back to Premera for our records.
