Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) created Blue High Performance Network (Blue HPN) to support employer groups with their ongoing quest to improve health outcomes while keeping costs predictable. Launched January 2021, BCBS is working with Premera and select healthcare providers across the country to launch a new national high-performance network; it’s available to more than 55 major U.S. markets this year and is expected to grow.
Not all healthcare providers are included in Blue HPN. It’s important when your Blue HPN patients need to see a specialist or another healthcare provider that you only recommend other Blue HPN healthcare providers to ensure the patient receives full benefits.
You can use Premera’s Find a Doctor tool to identify other providers and check BlueCard HPN patient eligibility and benefits by using our BlueCard resource page or by calling 800-676-BLUE(2583).
A Blue HPN patient can also easily be identified by their member ID card. The Blue High Performance Network name will be prominently displayed on the front of the member ID card, along with “HPN” in a suitcase logo.
