Blue Cross Blue Shield created Blue High Performance Network SM (BlueHPNSM) to support employer groups with their ongoing quest to improve health outcomes while keeping costs predictable.
BlueHPN has grown to 67 major U.S. markets. In 2023, Premera will expand BlueHPN to Washington members.
Not all healthcare providers are included in BlueHPN. It’s important when your BlueHPN patients need to see a specialist or another healthcare provider that you only recommend other BlueHPN healthcare providers to ensure the patient receives
the lowest cost share available under their plan.
A BlueHPN patient can also easily be identified by their member ID card. The Blue High Performance Network name is prominently displayed on the front of the member ID card, along with BlueHPN in a suitcase logo:
